David Foster Wallace is dead according to multiple sources. He is said to have hung himself yesterday. He was probably my favorite living writer, the one I thought was best in touch with the times. That he could choose to kill himself at this moment, when his point of view is arguably needed most, is so disturbing/upsetting to me.
